It hit me this week that there were some amazing results from our March mastermind: Jorge (George) went from $24K/year to $24K/mo. Megan doubled her income in 30 days and maintained it for the 2nd month.
Those are huge results! My biggest win was that I think I might be able to take part of the weekend off. I’m not sure if it’s because it’s easier to spot where other people can make changes and not so easy to look at ourselves, it could be because I’ve gone off in too many directions, and it could be that I’m really trying to make it passive income, which ironically takes more work and returns less in the beginning.
Hmmm….I’m going to ponder and post again…

Seeme to me that money is just one measuring tool, and that there are all kinds of results.
Evolving insights don’t show up on the bottom line, but they’re critical to growth.
New business relationships are like tulip bulbs that get planted one day, and bloom in the future.
Family outings and hugs don’t show in the bottom line, but really, those moments *are* Life’s bottom line.
So…. if we’re keeping ourselves and our troops pretty well pasted together, and learning, and thriving, and moving forward.. the ship is sailing in the right direction, right?

As in any new project there is a time period where you seem to be doing way too much work for little return. I’m learning it does take time to create passive income. I’m certainly glad you wrote that too.
I have been putting tons of time in learning and developing my site. If it wasn’t for taking time off to spend with my family I’d be driving Jorge nuts.

Mark, One of the things that I’m finding out about blogs is about how you make money.
When blogs were new, just about anybody could monetize them. Now, it’s harder. I think the secret is in getting posts up there to start getting some organic traffic and recognized by the SEO.
Then as time goes on, perfect what you do. Overall though, you need a marketing strategy.
My plan is to use this blog as a way to (1) document the progress I’m making on the landing pages and my frustrations, successes, lesson for a book in 2 years and (2) a way for others to promote their blogs (a rising tide raises all boats)
The Tax Loopholes blog is used to provide fresh, daily content to keep people coming back. Plus, I watch what people like to read so it helps me gear teleseminars and other info products.
The key to all of it is to have a marketing plan. How will you make money? Do you have a funnel? etc….

Absolutely! Monetization is key.
