I did a lot of investigation and finally jumped into an direct sale program.  If you’ve read my other posts, this one made sense to me for the following reasons:

(1)   It sold something that people already needed.  I didn’t need to talk anyone into it.

ANSWER:  Almost everyone sends cards.  And if you’re a business owner, saying “thank you” to your clients can be the best way to build your business.

(2)  It sold something at a lower price then they could get at Costco or Walmart.

ANSWER:  You can send a card, including postage, for just a little over $1.  If you drive to the store, pick one out, and mail it out, you’re looking at least $3 plus the cost of gas.

(3)  It was a standalone model in that you didn’t have to sell someone into your downline to make money.

You can sell retail packs of the cards that will be cheaper than someone can buy in a store PLUS gives them the opportunity to create their own cards.  

(4)  The company was new enough that you wouldn’t get lost in the shuffle and that everyone in the world has already heard about it.

ANSWER:  The company has just a little over 50,000 representatives worldwide.  They are set up for 9 other countries, including Canada, Australia, Singapore, UK and others.  

(5)  The company had a solid business model and proven track record so that it wasn’t going to go out of business when the volume jumped.

ANSWER:  They spent A LOT of time developing the infrastructure so that they can support volume.  They are in their 5th year now and have taken their time.

After a lot of due diligence, including a meeting with one of the founders and CEO, I signed with Send Out Cards.
