What Would You Do If You Wanted to Make $1,000/Mo Passive?

We just finished up our first quarterly meeting of Diane’s Mastermind.  The Diane’s Mastermind/Diane’s Private Clients is limited to just 25 tickets (2 people come for one ticket) and is for 4 quarterly masterminding events and unlimited private tax consultation directly with me.  The tax consultation starts immediately, so I already knew all the people involved, but this was the first time that we’d all gotten together.

A Mastermind isn’t a seminar, where you go to learn a subject or technical information.  A Mastermind is a group of people together for a collective purpose and it’s where you go to learn more about what’s inside yourself already.  You know more than you think you know.

A big part of Friday’s event was brainstorming new ways to make money in this economy.  And one of the participants asked the question about how to make $1,000/mo passive quickly.

We had a Super Affiliate in the room and so, of course, his immediate answer was “sell something on the Internet.”

Actually, there was more to it and I thought I’d share it with all of you, not because I want to make sure the lady who asked the question has too much competition but because we had SO MANY ideas and business opportunities buzzing around the room that telling a few of them isn’t going to be a problem.  :-)

So, here’s the details:  He said find something that people will be wanting to buy a month out.  My thought was to target Valentine’s Day.  It’s a little less than a month, but it’s still a huge shopping day.  Then find something that people want to buy.  I’m thinking perfume, flowers, lingerie, jewelry - that type of thing.  Pick one, do some research - did people want this last Valentine’s Day?  Then find someone to be an affiliate of, do some keyword research and set up 4 or 5 webpages.  Not a full blown website - just a page of an existing site.  So, if I were doing this, I could use www.TaxLoopholes.com and just have something like www.TaxLoopholes.com/ Perfume1 - something like that.  (There is no such page, so if you click through, it won’t work.)

Set up 4 or 5 different ones so you can test your offers.  Then buy some advertising and you’re good to go!
