I’ve been off my blog for a week now.  First there was medical scare (turned out to be benign, thank goodness) and then I found it was hard to just get going again.  I had questions.  Should I go back and catch up the posts?  Should I pretend nothing happened and see if anyone noticed?  Did it really matter that I posted every day anyway?  After all, I didn’t sign a contract or anything?

And most importantly, should I blog every day?  

I blog on this website for a couple of reasons:

(1)  Create some organic traffic

(2)  Create some interest within this community (and my other websites) as to what my beta group and I are doing

(3) Create the outline for a book in two years

Of these, it’s (3) that got my off my lazy behind and blogging again.  I’ve had so many times in my life when I’ve thought “Oh, this would make a good book.”  But then when I go back and try to recreate whatever the story was, I can’t remember.

It’s especially true right now because I’ve been subpoenaed to testify in a fight between partners of a large company.  I was there in the beginning.  Unfortunately not all of my notes make sense now.  And, there are clear gaps.  Did this happen in 2001 or 2002?  WHo was at that meeting?  Can I prove that partner A had knowledge of what Partner C did?  The questions would be tough enough if the meeting was yesterday, but the meetings were 7 years ago!

So, bottomline, I’m back blogging.  If you’re on the journey with me, I strongly urge you to blog as well.  Create a record for the future.  Trust me, you’ll be glad you did!
