I read this somewhere the other day and it’s just been rattling around in my head. I think that there are a lot of people out there pitching the idea that if you “build it, they will come” and it’s all about what you wanted to do as a child. If you do fulfill your dreams, you’ll be rich.
Well, maybe. It all depends on two other things: (1) Are you any good at it? and (2) Does anybody else care? (and want to spend money on it?)
I remember back in the day when I used to do a lot of seminars with Robert Kiyosaki. Robert can get people to a state where they feel they can do anything. He is great at getting people to punch through their fears. We used to have this saying though, “Just because you think you can fly a jet plane, doesn’t mean you can fly a jet plane.” In fact, we’d have people sign agreements that they wouldn’t make any major decisions for at least 3 days after the event. They needed to get back in their reality and physical world.
The 2nd point is the economic part. If no one wants or needs your product or service, you’re going to have a tough row to hoe. If your plan is to make money, you need to make money! And that means that someone wants to pay you for what you do.
These three things: you dream, your abilities and customer’s wants and needs, are all part of the E Center. It’s the center of these three things that make you rich, fulfilled and excited. Just one piece is like a one legged stool. You might be able to get it to stand upright, but you’re going to have to be super talented and lucky to do it!
