I learned those words from some of the nation’s top presenters, again and again.  Some said, but never did it.  But the ones that prospered were the ones who freely gave information, SOME information, away. 

The best way I can explain how it has worked for me at TaxLoopholes is that if I can give away helpful information, in a highly leveraged way, then people will want to be in relationship with me.  They know I give away good information and if that’s the case then there must be even better information in the home study courses, books and seminars I do. 

I don’t know if that’s why it works.  But, so far it works for me!

If you’re starting a site, start out by thinking about what you can give for free.  Give visitors special reports in downloads so you can capture email addresses while you do it.  But, don’t start off looking for ways to make money. 

Traffic first, monetize later.  And traffic follows content.
