Well, I’m about ready to shift priority on Jorge again.  Carolyn (my asst) found me a great promotional opportunity with a physician’s medical magazine.  They have NO ONE doing tax planning and the editor was ecstatic to have me write articles.  He asked if I would consider doing a weekly blog.  First, though, he wanted to see my writing style.

REASON #1 to have an existing blog right now -  So someone can see a sample of your work!  

He looked at www.TaxLoopholes.com and said he liked the “short, sweet and informative” style of blogging and so we had a deal!  I don’t get paid (which I didn’t expect) and I don’t have to pay (which sometimes mags will want) and I do get to promote my website.  

But, since I’ve been reading about Landing Pages from Marketing Sherpa’s Landing Page Handbook, I know it’s better to send someone to a landing page than a big general website.  So maybe a new website is in order.

TIP:  A confused customer never buys.
