Websites Need Programmers

Websites need programming.  The one thing I had discovered with the few sites I had was if you weren’t staying on top of the programmers, deadlines got missed and budgets were blown.  If I had 30 websites going little time delays and budget overruns could be disastrous.

So, I figured I needed a project manager to watch over what was happening.  I approached a few people I knew, but no one seemed to be able to grasp what I was creating.

Besides just doing a project of building the 25+ websites, I also wanted to do it with full transparency and a huge goal - $1 million in 2 years or less.  That can be scary because there’s a chance we might not make the goal.  And I’ll not make that goal in full view of anyone who comes to the website.

But, on the other hand, the project Is big enough to get me excited and keep me interested.  And, if I can do it, and show how I did every step of the way, I think this could create a pathway for anyone else who wanted to follow.

So, how do I do all this, with a minimal investment of time and money?

My friend, Megan Hughes, suggested that I post a little bit about the project on another forum I visit occasionally, www.thefastlanetomillions.com.    I received 5 “applicants” for the project – 1 from the US, 2 from Canada, 1 from Australia and 1 from Argentina.  All were great, but as we got into the program more,  it became clear that Jorge Manzitti from Argentina understood and was excited about the project.

So, we emailed and planned, Jorge got a business visa to visit the US and came up for 2 weeks for us to plan the project. He also set up his own company to work easily with clients from the US.  It used to be that outsourcing meant India, but ever since Timothy Ferriss’s book, “The Four Hour Work Week” Indian outsourcing costs more and more.  There really isn’t a price advantage with India anymore.

I was happy to discover that Argentina has great outsourcing companies, but with the exception of Jorge’s company, www.LatAmConnect.com, they all seem to focus on big companies.  LatAmConnect ’s motto is “Half the cost, half the time and double the impact” and boy, is that true.
