Blog

Today the Editor of the online Physician mag asked when he’d start getting blog entries.

So, my quandry:  Write something now and send it to TaxLoopholes.  (Problem:  Too general, might miss the market)

Write something now and send it to TaxLoopholes, then in later blogs change to the new landing page.  (Problem:  Will be confusing to the reader)

Write something now and send to the new landing page with a “under construction. (Problem:  You get one chance to make a first impression)

Stall.

I opted for “stall.”  And then bugged Jorge at www.LatAmConnect.com with a new priority shift, and “Oh, by the way, can you do that right away?”

I just re-read my blog post and realized it wasn’t clear what I meant by “send it to TaxLoopholes.com” etc.

One of the reasons to write articles, blogs, and the like for other people is so that you can say something like “for more information on XX, please go to XXX.” Or, better answer, “Get your copy of XXX, a free special report, at XXX.” And at the very least, I would say “Diane Kennedy, CPA, Tax Strategist and Owner of http://www.TaxLoopholes.com, an online tax education company”

But in this case I want to use a landing page because I want the new visitor to not be confused by all the info that is at TaxLoopholes.com.

The secret, I think, is to have more single purpose websites.
